Korgis Play The Mill – THE legendary pop group The Korgis are set to play at Rayleigh's Mill Hall in February.

THE legendary pop group The Korgis are set to play at Rayleigh’s Mill Hall in February.

The group will be performing at the Rayleigh’s Mill Arts and Events Centre (Mill Hall) on Saturday 8th February in their 2025 tour.

James Warren, singer, bassist and songwriter for the band, is also a fan of the Rayleigh & Eastwood News. He said: “We tour regularly and it is easy to forget that areas like Rayleigh and Eastwood have their own stories. So it’s great to read up on local events in the Rayleigh & Eastwood News.

“The traditional press is so important to local communities throughout our country, you can’t sum up everything in a few lines of social media.”

The Korgis are best known for their hit singles, ‘If I Had You’ in  1979, and “Everybody’s Got to Learn Sometime’ in 1980.

Mr Warren added: “We have moved on from our days on Top of the Pops. Having several successful albums over the decades has meant we can enjoy touring with a combination of our own songs and the hits of other groups from the 70s and 80s.

“It’s a very lively show and we are delighted to be supported by Nia Nicholls at Rayleigh’s Mill Hall on 8th February.”

Tickets are available online at Eventbrite-Korgis or by phone at 07799 345795.
