Ladies Day Event

A LEIGH charity is pushing the boat out on Thursday, 19th June 2025, when it hosts its first ever Ladies Day event at The Boatyard Restaurant in the Old Town.

 Running from 1 to 7pm, local breast cancer awareness charity Lady McAdden have announced an afternoon full of glamour and goodwill.

 In the spirit of Ascot, guests are encouraged to don their most stylish attire, complete with hats and fascinators, for a day packed with dining, entertainment, and purpose.

 The event will begin with a sparkling glass of prosecco on arrival, followed by a three-course lunch.

 Throughout the afternoon, attendees will enjoy live streaming of the Ascot races, as well as a host of games, prizes, and the warm company of special guest host, the radio presenter Su Harrison.

 As the day winds down, guests will be treated to a classic afternoon tea.

 Proceeds from the event will go directly toward supporting Lady McAdden’s work in promoting the early detection of breast cancer.

 Based in Leigh, the charity is unique in offering one-to-one breast awareness appointments with nurses, available both in person and remotely, and accessible without a GP referral.

 Lady McAdden’s approach is grounded in education, offering practical advice on breast awareness, as well as emotional and educational support before, during, and after treatment.

 Their services are grounded in the latest research and developments, working closely with the NHS initiatives aligned with the NHS 5-point Breast Screening plan.

 Every ticket purchased and every hat worn helps Lady McAdden continue this vital work.

 Tickets for this event are £65 per person and can be purchased through the charity’s website at ladymcadden.org/event.
