Leigh On Sea News: Lady McAdden’s Awareness Month – A LEIGH-bases charity, which is helping to reduce the impact of breast cancer within the community is hosting a number of events this October to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

 This October, Lady McAdden has a variety of events themed “Let’s Get Together to Bring Hope to the Table.”

 Every Wednesday throughout October they will be hosting webinars with experts, with week 1 kicking off the season with skincare with Natalie Tennant.

 Friday, October 4th is the Lady McAdden Gala Ball at The Lawn, Rochford, where the charity officially opens the Breast Cancer Awareness Month with glamorous night of dinner, dancing, and fundraising with live music by the Broadway Band.

 Week 2 is Exercise and Movement Week, with a Wellbeing Webinar on Yoga with Emily Morris, whilst on Saturday, October 12th, from 8am, runners are encouraged to wear pink at the Chalkwell ParkRun and ‘Turn the Seafront Pink’ at 4:30pm, Southend Pier

 Week 3 is Nutrition Week with a Wellbeing Webinar with Nutritionist Charlotte Foster.

Saturday, October 19th is Women’s Wellbeing Retreat Day, at Leigh Community Centre, where the charity is facilitating a full day retreat featuring nutrition and menopause talks,

yoga, sound baths, and more, all dedicated to women’s wellbeing.

 Week 4 is Mental Health Week, with a Webinar on Health Anxiety with Counselling-on-Sea Director, Sam Ashdown and Lady McAdden Head Nurse, Natalie Rolison, and Week 5 brings fun with a Laughter Yoga Webinar with Cat Googe.

 Sunday, October 27th, 8am offers ladies a Beach Yoga & Coldwater Dip, at Surf on Chalkwell Esplanade, and if that wasn’t enough, there is a Kids Halloween Party on October 31st, 2pm at The Mill Hall Rayleigh.

 Rounding the month off, on Friday, November 1st, a special Afternoon Tea by the Sea at Sands by the Sea, Western Esplanade.

 “We know Breast Cancer Awareness Month can be a triggering time for many, and we wanted to do something different this year,” said Esther, CEO of Lady McAdden.

 “By focusing on hope, health, and bringing people together, we want to offer support and

positivity.

 Our events have something for everyone, whether it’s pampering, exercise, or simply coming together as a community.”
