The independent shops and cafes taking part in Leigh Road, Broadway, Broadway West, Elm Road and Rectory Grove & Lanes are opening their doors late for festive shoppers.

Among those taking part are:

Vino Vero – Drink in and takeaway until 9pm. Samples to try, lots of bottles perfect for the festive period, vegan friendly Oatnog made from spiced Rum, oat milk, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Organiser Gemma Simpson of Other Kids on the Leigh Road, Leigh said: “The last few years have been challenging for all independent business. Claire Jeavons, owner at Store Thirty3 and 110 Yards has worked closely with other Leigh retailers to launch the late night Christmas shopping event.

She said: “Leigh-on-Sea is such an amazing place to own a business, we have the best customers who really enjoy shopping independent – finding clothing, homeware, gifts and so much more that you don’t find on the high street or online. Everyone taking part is hoping for a busy evening of shopping, socialising and enjoying the very best of all we have to offer.”
