A NEW defibrillator was unveiled in Leigh.
Southend Mayor, Coun Stephen Habermel, and Southend West MP Anna Firth joined Leigh Rotary members to unveil the defibrillator in Belfairs.
A spokesperson for Legh Rotary said: “Leigh and Thorpe Bay Rotary Clubs plus the Carli Lansley Foundation are delighted to report the installation of their 15th defibrillator to the local community.
“This one will serve the busy Belfairs Parade of shops on Eastwood Road North.”
Rotarian Peter Millard added: “We would like to thank Fayyaz Haji, owner of Belfairs Pharmacy for his cooperation in the request to install this life saving piece of equipment in a popular and busy shopping area.”
The Mayor congratulated the two Rotary Clubs and Karl Lansley for continuing to donate the equipment to the local community.
