Library Gardens Celebration

A GROUP of Leigh volunteers are celebrating an accolade awarded to a local green space.
The Friends of Leigh Library Garden (FOLLG) are a local community group that work with the Southend Parks team to maintain nurture and improve the well-loved Library Gardens, which has received a Green Flag Award for 2026/2027.
The Green Flag Award scheme recognises and rewards parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for the management of recreational outdoor spaces across the United Kingdom and around the world.
A spokesperson for FOLLG said: “We are proud of our volunteers who work alongside the Parks team to make the Gardens a lovely place for residents and visitors to enjoy.”
