A MENTAL health charity in Westcliff is offering creative workshops to people suffering from long Covid.

The workshops, run by Trust Links, take place within the charity’s therapeutic Growing Together gardens on Fairfax Drive until March 29.

So far, the events have included houseplant care, cyanotype printing, sound bathing, aromatherapy, and volunteering opportunities.

The activities offer participates a chance to learn new skills, relax, and meet others with the similar experiences of the debilitating symptoms of long Covid.

People suffering from the condition are welcome to register to attend their next workshops held on March 22 and March 29.

These will be a sound bath workshop, and a wellbeing through volunteering workshop, respectively.

The latter will specifically focus on support to find opportunities compatible with living with long Covid.

Emma Anderson, who worked with Growing Together manager, Elias, to plan the workshops, said: “I know the impact of long Covid has many side effects that may lead to social isolation and mental health difficulties.

“Our aim is to allow those living with long Covid a place to come together with their peers and benefit from community and nature based wellbeing workshops.”

All workshops take place from 1pm to 3pm at Trust Links, on the corner of Fairfax Drive and Prittlewell Chase.
