Anna Firth MP said: “I am absolutely delighted to have celebrated Invicta Tennis Club’s anniversary this recess.
“This Westcliff icon was founded back in 1948 and is still going strong with three floodlit courts.
“Tennis in Southend generally is getting a major upgrade with investment from the LTA – Tennis For Britain going into our city, including in Chalkwell and Belfairs, so it’s all systems go for tennis in our community.
“Thank you so much to Invicta for inviting me to celebrate with you and congratulations.
“Here’s to another 75 years of your wonderful community club.”
