THE MP for Southend West has been named “Conservative MP of the Year” by a well-known political commentator and podcaster.
Iain Dale nominated Anna Firth MP on his on For The Many Podcast LBC.
Ms Firth commented: “I am incredibly honoured to have been named Iain Dale’s Conservative MP of the Year!
“Thank you so much for your kind words – it’s a privilege to represent the people of Southend and Leigh.”
Ms Firth added: “Iain has done mammoth work promoting political publishing and literature for the last 25 years and his thought-provoking podcast is one of the best out there, sitting at 47th in the UK.
“It really is wonderful to be nominated by such a heavyweight in this arena.
“I really looking forward to the House sitting again next week to kick start what I hope will be an excellent 2024.”
