A LEIGH-based charity supporting musicians with learning disabilities has been presented with a Royal Marines Ceremonial Pith Helmet.
The honour, given to The Music Man Project, symbolises a deepening relationship between the charity and The Bands of HM Royal Marines.
The music charity regularly collaborated with the band, and the presentation came after their most recent work together, recording with the HMS Collingwood Band at the historic HMS Nelson Wardroom.
A spokesperson for The Music Man Project said: “We were truly honoured to be presented with a Royal Marines Ceremonial Pith Helmet – a powerful symbol of our growing friendship and continued collaboration.
“A heartfelt thank you to Dame Penny Mordaunt and the TEAM LEWIS Foundation for their unwavering support of our mission.
“Together, we continue to make music that changes lives!
