New Airport Routes

SOUTHEND airport has announced more flights coming this year, with Berlin being added to the destinations’ board.

Passengers will now be able to fly from Southend direct to the culturally rich German capital, and the skiing hotspot, in time for Christmas.

Flights from Southend to Berlin will take off twice weekly Mondays and Fridays from November 7 while easyJet’s new connection to Grenoble will operate weekly on Sunday throughout the Christmas period from December 14.

Jude Winstanley, CEO of London Southend Airport, said: “This winter just got a whole lot more sensational at London Southend Airport, particularly as we add a third capital city to our destinations board.

“With new easyJet routes to Berlin and Grenoble, passengers across London, Essex and the east of England can now enjoy even more choice from our easy, speedy, friendly airport.

“Whether it’s a city break or snow-covered slopes, these new destinations are a fantastic addition – and a clear sign they’ve continued confidence in our operation as we build upon the destination network for winter 2025/26.”

The announcement of the new destinations comes after easyJet opened a new base at Southend airport this March.

The two new destinations bring the number of routes available to holiday makers from Southend up to 22.
