A SOUTH Essex MP has thanked a housing boss, for responding to his call to install new boilers at a sheltered housing scheme in his constituency.

Rayleigh and Wickford MP, Mark Francois lobbied Craig Moule, the Chief Executive of Sanctuary Housing Association, following repeated complaints from residents about lack of heating at their sheltered housing scheme at Spa Court, in Hockley.

Mr Moule promised that if the ageing boilers could not be successfully repaired they would be replaced – which subsequently took place this spring.

Commenting on the new boiler installation, Mr Francois said: “I would like to thank Craig Moule for coming to Spa Court with me recently, to apologise personally to residents for the delay in sorting out their heating.

“In the end, Mr Moule was as good as his work and replaced the old boilers with brand new versions, for which I wanted to thank him and Sanctuary in person, on behalf of all the residents.”
