New Reading Group - A NEW free reading group is being launched at the Leigh Community Centre this September.

A NEW free reading group is being launched at the Leigh Community Centre this September.

Funded by the Royal Literary Fund, the sessions are being organised by local author Shanta Everington.

“The Reading Round is like a book club, without the homework,” said Ms Everington.

“Why not discover the joy of short stories, poems and creative non-fiction, read aloud to you, with copies to take home.

“All you need to do is turn up, listen and join in the discussion with other members when you’re ready.” she added.

The Reading Round Club will run at Leigh Community Centre every Tuesday between 1:15 and 2:45pm from September 12.

The club runs for 30 weeks during term-time only.
