New Supper Club

AN innovative new supper club is coming to Leigh this summer.

A Leigh chef will be introducing customers to European cuisine as she takes up residence at a local café.

Chef Zoe McReynolds is to set up a partnership with the owner of the Squeeze Café, Katie Childs, in the Broadway.

This will see the popular café turned into an exciting pop-up restaurant during August, featuring modern European dishes sourced from local fishmongers, butchers and greengrocers.

Ms McReynolds said: “I wanted to essentially trial the concept for a restaurant that we hope to open within the next two years in Essex – modern European small plates, with a focus on delicious flavours using seasonal produce and local suppliers.

“Customers can look forward to a mixture of French, Italian and Spanish classic dishes with some modern twists and big flavours.”

Ms McReynolds has been sharing her passion for cooking in some of London’s top kitchens including Michelin starred venues like ‘La Trompette’.

In 2020 she returned to Leigh after living in Australia, where she helped serve meals to isolated and vulnerable community members at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The pop-up restaurant will take place every Friday and Saturday night during August.
