New Youth Group

A NEW youth group has opened in Rochford.

Run by charity Trust Links, the fun, beneficial youth group, Youth Links, is available at Trust Links Rochford on Tuesdays.

This follows successful youth groups run by the charity in Westcliff, Thundersely and Rayleigh.

Youth Links is a positive peer support group for young people of secondary school age, and includes a range of activities including cooking, crafts, sports and provides a safe space for young people to talk about their feelings.

Young people attending Youth Links have found that it has been a really helpful space to talk about issues such as exam pressures, anxiety, depression and identity, enabling them to develop better coping strategies.

A spokesperson said: “Youth Links is a safe space for ages 11 – 18 to meet new people, hang out, build confidence, and we have trained staff on-hand to help if they need a little bit of a wellbeing support.”
