Punch and Judy
PUNCH and Judy will be playing at Leigh Community Centre this summer.
Come and enjoy the timeless spectacle of Mr Punch getting his cuppupence.
Three showings will take place on August 3rd between 11.30 am and 1.30 pm.
Booking is required, and the entrance of £2.70 plus booking free includes a free ice lolly.

Storytime
COME and dive into the magical world of books with Storytime.
Held at Cup of Leigh in Leigh Community Centre from noon to 1pm everyone is welcome on July 18th and 25th, as well as August 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th.
Lucky Dip
A FUN lucky dip will be drawn every Wednesday in the summer holidays between 12 noon and 2 pm.
Tickets are £1 each, and a prize is guaranteed every time.
All monies raised will be donated to Havens Hospice Charity, a part of Herd in the City – the local hospice’s elephant themed summer art trial around Southend.

CONDITIONAL permission has been granted for a single storey rear extension at a home in Leigh, with altered elevations.

Refusal
PLANS for converting a Leigh premises from two commercial units and two residential units to two commercial units at ground floor level and four self-contained flats to ground have been refused by Southend Council.
The plans also included erecting a part single/part three storey rear extension with balconies to the second-floor level at rear, and erecting a second storey front/side extension, with altered front elevation to form entrance to front, at 90 – 92 Elm Road.

CONDITIONAL permission has been granted for a single storey rear extension at a home at 7 Meadway, Westcliff.
The plans include a roof lantern and a parapet wall and the laying out of a raised patio area with steps to the rear.

CONDITIONAL permission has been granted for a works at a house in Leihg
Plans for the property at 59 Leigh Hall Road include removing the external staircase to the side and erecting a single storey side extension, whilst replacing the roof on the existing rear extension.
Flats
CONDITIONAL permission has been granted for the creation of five flats in Westcliff.
Applicants applied to erect a two-storey side extension and part single/part three storey rear extension at 3 Milton Avenue.
The plans also include converting the loft space into habitable accommodation and creating five self-contained flats with associated parking and amenity areas.
