Ninth Artists’ Market

CROWDS flocked to Strand Wharf on Bank Holiday Monday to enjoy local artists’ work and live demonstrations.

 Old Leigh Artists’ Market saw dozens of painters, photographers and mosaic gathered with individual stalls to welcome visitors. 

 Practitioners numbering around 25 gave demonstration of their crafts, in the ninth incarnation of the popular art event, first launched in 2019.

 A spokesperson for the event said: “What a wonderful time today on Strand Wharf in beautiful Old Leigh.

 “The sun shone, you came out in your hordes for the artists and all in all it was the perfect bank holiday Monday.

 “Our thanks to everybody who made the event so friendly, cheerful and vibrant from start to finish.

 “As ever, your enthusiasm for the artists’ work was hugely appreciated.

 “We’re already looking forward to doing it again in spring 2025! Until the next time…”
