A FOLK harmony group will be joining the Leigh Orpheus Singers for a Christmas Celebration this festive season. on Saturday December 16.
Any Good Thing, formed of Peter Dunhill, Tanya Sanderson and Mike Blant, are a new group that sing both a cappella and with instruments.
The name is taken from an old English rhyme ‘Any good thing that will make us all merry’ traditionally sung at Halloween.
The trio has performed at a number of local folk clubs and venues, including the Leigh Folk Festival and the Leigh Shanty Festival, with a repertoire that includes original material, as well as folk songs from the English-speaking world, jazz standards and cheerful popular songs.
The trio together with The Southend Band and the ladies of The Orpheus Singers will be ensuring the concert is a true “Christmas Celebration”
The concert will be taking place at Kings Road United Reformed Church, Crowstone Road, Westcliff SS0 8LH on Saturday December 16 at 5.30pm.
