Letter from: Marion Orchard, Concert Manager, The Orpheus Singers – Correction.

SIR, many thanks indeed for promoting my press release for Frank Carter’s Photographic Exhibition in the Maritime Room at the Cliffs Pavilion on Monday April 17 (Entertainments News Section issue 5).

I feel I should point out that our choir The Orpheus Singers is a female-voice choir and we will be singing at 7.30pm on that Monday, not the Leigh Orpheus Male Voice Choir as pictured!

I thought you might like the attached image of us that was taken recently in Chelmsford Cathedral.

Our ladies choir has been involved in various fund-raising activities over the past few months by way of a tribute to our good friend and supporter Sir David Amess.

We are delighted to be combining with talented photographer Frank Carter in raising funds for a charity dear to Sir David’s heart, the Dame Vera Lynn Memorial Fund.

Frank’s exhibition of Twilight and Seasonal Photographs will be staged in the Maritime Room, Cliffs Pavilion, Southend on Sea. Monday 17 – Tuesday 18 April, 12 noon – 9pm.

The Orpheus Singers will stage a performance on Monday 17 April at 7.30pm. Entry is free – all donations will support The Dame Vera Lynn Memorial Fund.

Drinks, including tea and coffee can be purchased from the Bar.
