The Rochford District Litter Pickers collected a wide range of waste, including shopping trolleys, fast gas canisters and vodka bottles.

A spokesperson said: “It was a beautiful day for litter picking and socialising.

“Random selection of rubbish found around Cherry Orchard Jubilee Country Park included car parts, shopping trolley, 20 plus vodka bottles, six hubcaps, child’s toy, road signage, fast gas canisters, paint trays and spray cans paraphernalia as well as all the fast-food items.”

The group added: “Thanks to everyone, collectively we have done a fantastic service for the community.”
