Petanque Victory Hopes – A WESTCLIFF-based Petanque team won two matches Cavendish Sports Ground, England Euro Cup Competition.
Having won their first-round match at home against Towers Petanque, Brentwood at the end of October 2024, they were victorious again in Round 2 again at home against Birchanger Petanque with the same result on Sunday 23rd February.
John Foster, Club Secretary, said: “White Hall Petanque team won (3 games to 2) The match took place in dry conditions with a cold wind at White Hall Bowling Club.”
Round 3 of the Petanque England Euro Cup Competition will be against Campetanque, Cambridgeshire, set for play on Sunday 18th May.
Petanque is played outdoors all year, under floodlights during the winter evenings. Along with Short Mat Bowls all year in-doors. Lawn Bowls are played each year from April to September.
Mr Foster added: “You are most welcome to have free tuition in these sports then become a member of the ‘White Hall Family’.”
White Hall Petanque team, who meet at Clatterfield Gardens, comprise players Nick Joujou, Beverley Brockway, Warren James, Tracy Joujou, Captain Paul Lindsay and Gordon Swift.
