A NURSERY has achieved the highest rating possible for their recent Ofsted inspection.
Rascals Day Nursery, at Fairways Primary School was rated “outstanding” following an inspection last month.
Inspector Clare Ford’s report took into account positive comments from parents, as well as observing the interactions between staff and children.
In a report published in mid-April, the report said: “Children receive the utmost care and attention from staff. Interactions are sensitive and nurturing.
“As a result, children demonstrate that they feel safe and secure in the setting.”
Children were said to make rapid progress in their learning, aided by the “expansive and exciting natural classroom.”
Safeguarding was also praised, with a “high priority on safety arrangements.”
The nursery currently has 107 children on roll aged from one to 11 years old.
Nursery headteacher Karen Curling said: “We are all immensely proud to have achieved an outstanding judgement again.
“It shows all our hard work and commitment to the early years has been recognised and acknowledged. I have an amazing team who are genuinely dedicated and passionate in providing the best care and learning for our children and parents and they do this every day.
“I want to thank them personally, along with all our parents for their continuous support of the nursery.
“The nursery has been running for 16 years and has a long-serving management team, my manager and deputy manager have been with me since we opened.
“We are well established within the community and feel privileged to be able to care for our youngest members of society.”
