RAYLEIGH Town Council is hosting a picnic in the King George V Playing Field, Rayleigh to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III.
Residents are encouraged to bring their own picnic, chairs and picnic blankets to watch this historic event on a large screen, which the council will erect.
The Pavilion Snack bar will be open for refreshments and there will be additional vendors on site.
However, the Town Council would like members of public to use businesses located in the High Street, and reminds everyone that there are no gazebos or tents permitted on the paying field.
Full details will follow once timings are released by Buckingham Palace.
