RAYLEIGH & Wickford MP, Mark Francois, was on hand to support the official opening of the popular Trinity Fayre, in Rayleigh High Street.
The event, which was organised by Rayleigh Town Council, saw thousands of townsfolk flock to the High Street, to enjoy performances by choirs and local singers and a whole host of stalls, from Air & Army Cadets to local charities and the Rayleigh Town Museum.
There were further stalls and an impressive display of vintage cars at the Mill Hall. The Rayleigh Art Group also put on an exhibition, hosted by the town’s Conservative Club.
Commenting, Mr Francois said: “I would like to thank Rayleigh Town Council and all the volunteers who contributed to the event, for a job well done.
“There was a very good turnout, aided by nice weather and a lovely time seemed to be had by one and all. It was a cracking event.”
