Luxury Care home opens-min-min

Anna Firth MP and Mayor Coun Kevin Robinson open the refurbished care home.

Chalkwell Grange, part of the Runwood Homes Group, welcomed Mayor Councillor Kevin Robinson, Anna Firth MP, local residents and family members to their festive grand opening event this past weekend in Leigh-on-Sea.

The home, formerly operated by Larchwood Care, had an injection of funds once acquired by Sanders Senior Living in order to refurbish the home to their standards. Complete with 47 en-suite rooms, a plush cinema room, serene hairdressing salon, bistro café and luxurious lounges, Chalkwell Grange offers a new standard of care in the quaint seaside town of Leigh-on-Sea.

Chalkwell Grange is the fifth residential care home in the Sanders Senior Living portfolio, where residents are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. Residents can benefit from round-the-clock care and support, to ensure their needs are always met.

Throughout the day there were delicious canapés and prosecco on offer, Santa’s cosy Christmas grotto, festive stalls, up-beat live entertainment, and even a dog competition. The home, which officially opened its doors at the beginning of November, has already welcomed many residents who have settled seamlessly into their new residences.

Vikki Richardson, Home Manager at Chalkwell Grange, said: “It was such a pleasure to welcome members of the local community to our lovely home for the Grand Opening. We invite the local community to be part of the Chalkwell Grange difference. We run clubs and activity groups, and welcome those who would wish to join us for these – it’s incredibly important for our residents to feel part of our community; a community where friendships flourish and thrive.”
