Removing Rubbish Discarded - DEDICATED Rochford volunteers spent time clearing the paths of Cherry Orchard Country Park.

DEDICATED Rochford volunteers spent time clearing the paths of Cherry Orchard Country Park.

During their walk, they found many items, including Fastgas containers, long screws, vehicle registration plate, rubber gloves, alongside the usual bottle and cans.

A spokesperson for Rochford District Litter Picks said: “A productive litter pick at Cherry Orchard Country Park – removing rubbish discarded in the open space and hedgerows.

“Lovely to see the grass cut around the edges and left longer in the centre areas to encourage wildlife habitat.

“Lots of recycling of bottles and cans.

“Overflowing bins reported to RDC and their contractors to ensure these are emptied. Unusual finds included Well done everyone.

“Thanks to KFC for providing refreshments today as a thank you, most appreciated.”
