THE next meeting of the Chalkwell Ward Residents Association will feature a talk by local genealogist Kate Sansom.
Ms Sansom, who earlier this year wrote a booklet for the Association’s 50th anniversary on
the history of Chalkwell, will give a historical talk focusing on Chalkwell’s families and houses.
After the talk, the association will continue with the business part of the meeting in which members are updated on matters affecting the ward, and generally have the chance to raise matters of local concern with one of or more of our ward councillors, who report back on ward-related matters and answer questions.
All are welcome to join the meeting, which will take place at Westcliff Baptist Church, 560
London Road, Westcliff, SS0 9HS, on Wednesday, December 13, starting at 7:30pm.
Limited parking is available on site. Entry is free to members.
Annual membership (April-March) costs £5 per year per individual or £10 per household (to include all adult household members).
Non-members may attend in an observer-only capacity at a cost of £1 per person.
