Rochford Litter Picks

DEDICATED litter pickers have filled more than 15 rubbish bags of litter retrieved from local streets.

Rochford District Litter Picks meet every Monday to help tidy up the local area. Most recently, they met at Park Gardens in Hawkwell.

 Unusual finds included a bathroom shelf, a handbag, and some fly tipping.

 A spokesperson said: “We found a house key- if you have lost one, I’ll hold it for 1 week, please message me.

 “Some unusual finds including bathroom shelf, money, backpack, handbag, two hoodies, and a knife blade were found.

 “Plus, the usual rubbish and bottles and cans.

 “There were a few bags of fly tipping left in the car park, which will be removed by the contractors.

“Thanks to everyone for helping keep our district clean and safe.”
