 This prestigious honour underscores their continuous efforts to provide exceptional animal welfare services.

 The RSPCA PawPrints Awards, the only scheme of its kind, celebrates local authorities and public bodies for their pioneering work in animal welfare across England and Wales.

 Coun Andrew Cross, Chair of the Licensing and Regulatory Committee at Rochford District Council, said: “The Council takes the issue of animal welfare extremely seriously and we’re delighted to have added to the awards we have received in previous years from the RSPCA.

 “It is a testament to all the hard work that officers are continuing to carry out to ensure that standards of animal welfare are maintained to a high level.”

 Lee Gingell, public affairs manager at the RSPCA, added: “We are thrilled to recognise Rochford District Council with the silver award for Licensing of Activities Involving Animals in this year’s RSPCA PawPrints Awards.
