SFC Summer Concert

SOUTHEND Festival Chorus will be presenting a concert of the music of John Rutter this summer.

Celebrating Rutter will include his Gloria, A Gaelic Blessing, The Lord Bless you and Keep you, and Feel the Spirit, which is an arrangement of spirituals. Rutter’s Distant Lands, which is a song of freedom, will be dedicated to the people of Ukraine, and there will be a retiring collection for those who wish to donate to helping them.

Southend Festival Chorus will perform under the baton of their Music Director, Dr. Joseph Fort, with piano accompaniment by Rosemary Pennington.

The soloist will be Ruby Bach.

The concert will take place at the Church of St. Alban the Martyr, St. John’s Road, Westcliff at 7.30 p.m. on Saturday July 1^.

Tickets cost £10 (£5 for students and under 18’s) may be obtained from any member of the choir, by telephoning 07956 799 989, or at the door.
