Shoplifter’s Countrywide Ban

A RAYLEIGH man arrested on the spot of his latest theft by Southend local policing officers has been banned from entering all M&S stores and BP service stations in England and Wales for five years.
Stephan Jaworski, 44, of Francis Walk in Rayleigh, walked out of the BP Service station in London Road, Westcliff, on 3 February but was immediately stopped and arrested by the officers, who also recovered a bag full of meat from the M&S shop there.
Southend magistrates heard on 4 February that he’d also stolen from the BP garage in West Street, Westcliff, the day before he was arrested and also on New Year’s Eve.
Jaworski was given a five-year criminal behaviour order by the court after he admitted three counts of shop theft, involving a total of £285.40 of goods from the two service stations. He also admitted breaching a previous criminal behaviour order on three occasions.
The terms of the criminal behaviour order are: Not to enter any M&S store in England and Wales, including those attached to BP service stations: Not to enter any BP service station, forecourt or attached shop in England and Wales: Not to enter the Sainsbury’s Local store in Rochford: Not to enter the Co-op Food store in Hockley.
Jaworski was also given a 24-week jail sentence, suspended for 18 months.
