A TEENAGER has been arrested following reports of a street robbery in Rochford.
Essex Police were called to North Street, in Rochford, at around 5:25pm on Sunday, December 3 after allegations of a robbery.
According to Essex Police, “several people” surrounded a victim before demanding a coat to be handed over.
A 13-year-old boy from Southend has been arrested on suspicion of robbery. He was released on bail while enquiries continue.
Essex Police are now urging anyone with information to come forward.
A spokesman said: “A teenager has been arrested, following an allegation of robbery on Sunday, December 3.
“A 13-year-old boy from Southend was arrested on suspicion of Robbery and he has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or the events leading up to it to contact us.
“If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.
“Please quote the crime reference number 42/214635/23.
“Alternatively, you can contact the independent crimefighting charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
