ANNA Firth, MP for Southend West, visited Essex County Bowling Club to see the Stroke Club play on the October 13.
She participated in a match alongside club members, and learnt all about the work that Terry Davies and his team of volunteers, who have been operating the Stroke Club for 9 years, do to ensure that members of the local community who have suffered strokes continue to enjoy the sport.
Ms firth said: “Terry Davies and his wonderful team of volunteers do incredible work helping those who have suffered strokes to continue to enjoy playing Bowls.
“I hope they are able to continue to play for well beyond the nine years they have already undertaken.”
