A PIONEERING free community suncream dispenser, located at Joselyns Beach near Chalkwell Railway Station and the sunken public loos, has been stolen in recent days.

This new ground breaking free public access safety facility, to protect the local community and visitors to Southend City against skin cancer, was the brain child of ex MP for Southend West and Leigh Anna Firth, who came up with the idea at the beginning of 2024.

With the support of Chrissy and Ashley Nichols from Atlantic Pacific Global Logistics charity arm ‘Unity in Community’, the local Community and visitors to Southend City were protected from the damaging effects of the suns rays all through the summer of 2024.

A spokesperson said: “The good news is that Chrissy and Ashley Nichols from ‘Unity in Community’ have come to the communities rescue and pledged funds for this amazing new public safety facility to be replaced in the next few weeks, in time for the start of the 2025 summer season at Joselyns Beach.”
