MARK Francois, MP for Rayleigh and Wickford, recently attended a special event in the House of Commons hosted by Blue Cross, a leading pet charity, to show his support for their efforts to bolster animal welfare, especially among the canine community.
The event provided an opportunity for MPs and policymakers to engage with the charity and learn about the pressing issues facing the animal welfare sector, both in the next Parliament and in the years to come.
Blue Cross highlighted the need for robust action to address key challenges and improve the lives of animals across the UK.
Commenting after the event, Mr Francois said: “As a proud patron of the Conservative Animal Welfare Foundation, I was delighted to support Blue Cross at their special event in Parliament.
“Their vital work continues to shine a light on the importance of animal welfare, especially surrounding dogs, and I look forward to working with them to advocate for these important causes.”
