MARK Francois, MP for Rayleigh and Wickford, has demonstrated his support for Cancer Research UK at a recent event held in Parliament, which brought together MPs, researchers, and supporters to raise awareness and encourage greater action in the fight against cancer.
During the event, which aimed to highlight the progress made in cancer research and the challenges still ahead, Mr Francois reiterated his commitment to supporting the charity’s efforts to fund life-saving research. He also praised the significant strides made in treatment and diagnosis, but stressed the need for continued funding and investment to ensure more lives can be saved in the future.
Commenting after the event, Mr Francois said: “I’m glad to stand alongside Cancer Research UK and support their vital work.
“The progress we’ve seen in cancer treatment is a testament to the dedication and hard work of researchers, doctors, and supporters. However, the fight is far from over. We must continue to raise awareness, fund cutting-edge research, and ensure that no one faces cancer alone.”
