Aman Chandra, Debbie and Alarna Barker, Anita, and Alannah Bowles, Mark (of the Leigh On Sea News) and Alex Insull, will be taking part in the event as Team Eyes.

Sister Anita Bowles, Governance Manager of the Ophthalmology Department and Team Eyes leader, said: “We are all beginners and totally mad, but we are raising money for the Ophthalmology Department and Elizabeth Loury Ward, both of which are very close to all of our hearts.

“Please share this with anyone and everyone and please sponsor us. Every little helps.”

She added: “Some of us will be wearing video cameras, so you can relive the whole 154ft drop with us.

“Thank you.”

The video links will shared via the team’s JustGiving page after the event.
