A TEENAGE boy was stabbed twice during a violent assault in a Rayleigh carpark.
Officers were called to the car park of Asda in Rawreth Lane, shortly before 10pm on Friday, February 17, following reports of an assault.
Essex Police confirmed that a 15-year-old victim suffered two stab wounds and was taken to hospital.
Luckily, his injuries were not deemed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Officers investigating the assault have arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
He has since been released on bail whilst their enquiries continue.
Police are now appealing for witnesses, or anyone who may have further information, to contact them.
A Police spokesperson said: “We were called to Rawreth Lane in Rayleigh shortly before 10pm on Friday, February 17, following reports of a man being assaulted.
“The victim was taken to hospital with two stab wounds. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
“A cordon was put in place for a short while.
“Officers arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
“He has since been released on bail whilst enquiries continue.”
