Leigh On Sea News: Two Tree Gallery Show – LEIGH’S Two Tree Gallery is supporting The One Love Project in Southend for the third year in a row, with a pop-up exhibition of small artworks from local artists and creatives.

 The show, which opens on January 18th with a launch party, is supporting people experiencing homeless ness in the community by contributing 20% of sales towards the work of One Love Project.

 The charity began as a night-time soup kitchen for people experiencing homelessness based in a Southend car park.

 With support from a local family run construction business, it was able to move to its  current headquarters in Carnarvon Road.

 After moving to this site, the founders and volunteering team began expanding their services to supply food and more support to a wider group of people in need of help.

 One Love help service users with all aspect of life, including supporting access to essential health and wellbeing services, and a focus on creative growth.

 One Love’s Wellbeing Wednesday sessions, where guests do arts and crafts to build self-worth and confidence, restarted at the later part of the 2024.

 Last year also saw One Love provide over 13,700 hot meals through their Evening Food Services and food for over 10,800 through their weekly Foodbank.

 In putting on the show, the artist collective of Two Tree Gallery are hoping to prove that small things make a difference, as part of their aims to make a brighter tomorrow.

 Amanda Jackson from Two Tree Gallery said: “We would love as many people as possible to visit the exhibition.”

 Two Tree Gallery is open every Saturday from 10am till 5pm or by appointment, and the exhibition continues until February 8th.
