COMMUNITY volunteers lent a hand litter picking in Rochford.
The group collected over 20 sacks of rubbish on their rounds, covering a number of areas in the town.
A spokesperson said: “Rochford is looking cleaner as a result of our volunteers helping litter pick around Rochford Square, Freight House, Southend Road, Ashingdon Road, Hall Road and the reservoir.
“Kitchen Cabinet doors found, iron bars, gloves, masks, sweet wrappers and takeout boxes. Lots of recycling of cans and bottles recycled.
“We also saw all the new trees planted by 4th Rochford Scouts- – they are starting to sprout, fantastic achievement, well done.”
