COMMUNITY volunteers gathered in the sunshine to help clear areas of Rochford District from discarded rubbish.
Rochford District Litter Picks conducted a session at Cherry Orchard Jubilee Country Park, with volunteers new and old amassing a significant haul of black bags between them.
After this, the volunteers enjoyed free refreshments from KFC Rochford.
A spokesperson for Rochford District Litter Picks said: “A beautiful day for our litter picking group today at Cherry Orchard Jubilee Country Park and KFC Rochford, and also some local volunteers around Hawkwell.
“Thank you everyone.”
The session saw the community group welcome new additions to the team, as a spokesperson concluded: “Welcome to Jackie and Mark, great to have new team members.”
