VOLUNTEERS at Chalkwell Lifeguards Club and dog owners along Chalkwell Promenade have been left distraught and very confused following a spate of recent thefts of the Clubs dog water bowls.
With the recent warm weather dogs out for a walk along Chalkwell Promenade have become very appreciative of the cool fresh water put outside Chalkwell Shelter in bowls provided by the Club’s Lifeguard volunteers.
All has been well until recently when suddenly three dog water bowls mysteriously vanished, leaving dogs of all shapes and sizes and dog owners confused and upset. They now have no water to drink at their favourite stop off point, on a walk along Chalkwell promenade to Chalkwell Beach.
The 3 Stolen Dog Water Bowls were sponsored by animal lovers Chrissy and Ashley Nichols from ‘ Unity In Community.’
A Club spokes person said: “One minute the dog bowls were there, full of lovely fresh cool water, the next minute they had all up and vanished on different days like a feather in the wind.
“We are appealing for the 3 stolen dog water bowls to be returned as soon as possible, so that all the local dogs can be happy and well hydrated and healthy once again.”
