A PET iguana is missing from his Westcliff home after climbing up a chimney.

Charlie, a two-and-a-half-foot blue iguana, climbed up the chimney in his family’s Avenue Road home on February 21, and disappeared.

His owner, Amy Pittard, is urging residents to keep an eye out for the reptile, who may be up on a roof or in a tree.

He will also be identifiable by the end half of his tail being black.

In her appeal, Ms Pittard said: “Unfortunately our blue iguana climbed up the chimney this morning we waited to see if he would come back down, but he hasn’t yet.

“If people could keep an eye out for him, please, possibly might be up high on roofs, in a tree etc, his name is Charlie, likely to be very cold and unhappy.”

If anyone sees Charlie, please contact Amy via Facebook messenger or email
