Westcliff Road Crash

A PERSON was rushed to hospital after a crash involving a car and a cyclist occurred on a road in Westcliff.

 Emergency services were called to London Road, near Chalkwell Park, after reports of a collision on the afternoon of August 25.

 Several ambulances, including an Air Ambulance, quickly arrived on the scene, with witnesses reporting the air ambulance landing in Chalkwell Park at approximately 3.30 pm.

 As a result of the incident, one patient was transported to Southend Hospital for future treatment.

 A spokesman for East of England Ambulance Service said: “Three ambulances, an ambulance officer vehicle and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.”
