GOSPEL CHOIR

Enjoy singing? Why not join the Fishermen’s Chapel Gospel Choir, singing traditional gospel music at the Chapel? Rehearsals are every Tuesday evening, 7-8pm. Contact Heather if you’d like more information, 07879 232231.

THE HOY AT ANCHOR FOLK CLUB

New coffee mornings at the Fishermen’s Chapel, New Road, Leigh. 10.30am-12 noon, friendly community atmosphere. Every Wednesday – all welcome.

TEA DANCE

CWRA

The next meeting of the Chalkwell Ward Residents Association (CWRA) will give residents the opportunity to hear from candidates standing for election as Chalkwell Ward councillor in the forthcoming elections to Southend City Council. The meeting will take place at Alleyn Court Preparatory School, 3 Imperial Avenue, Westcliff, SS0 8NE on Wednesday, April 19th, at 7:30pm, and is free of chanrge.

FESTIVAL CHORUS

Southend Festival Chorus meets every Wednesday during term-time at St. Peter’s Church, Eastbourne Grove, Westcliff, at 7.15 for a 7.30 start till 9.45 pm. Competent singers of all voice parts are always welcome.

THAMESIDE MUMMERS

Thameside Mummers perform traditional Mumming plays locally and nationally throughout the year. They meet and rehearse in Old Leigh on Wednesday evening. New members welcome. See them on Youtube and Facebook. Contact [email protected]

ROCHE ART GROUP

SOUTHEND CHORAL SOCIETY

Southend Choral Society will be holding their 80th anniversary on Saturday April 22nd at the Kings Road United Reformed Church at 7.30 pm.

The choir will be performing Verdi’s Requiem with guest soloists and the Southend Concert Orchestra. Tickets are £12 adults and £2 for under 18s. Tickets also available at brownpapertickets.com
